    I have been into photography since I was ten years old and picked up a Polaroid camera for the first time. Since then I’ve worked as a newspaper photojournalist, events photographer, and feel I have found my calling in the art of fireplay.

    .

    As a fire performer and flame artist, I have been “playing with fire” for over 20 years, and I am mesmerized by the beauty found in fire light. Flame portraits allow me capture the moments people face a primal elemental fear with their own bodies and come away empowered.

    .

    The delight and range of emotions I get to see and capture in my lens and images light up my life.

    I have over 20 years of experience with fireplay and fire performance having toured and performed with several Circus groups in some the biggest venues in the Northwest, including the Gorge.

    .

    To me fire is primal. It is integral to what it means to be human. It’s part of our celebrations, it can destroy, but also bring about growth, and its beauty is unmatched.

    .

    Harnessing fire as an art form has been one of the greatest pleasures of my life. Not just the joy it brings me as a performer, but the joy it brings to everyone who watches or participates.
